The Best Nightlife Spots in and Around Atlanta

SET Real Estate Group February 19, 2024

In Atlanta, every night is a reason to party. With so many wonderful music venues, clubs, and restaurants to choose from, you’ll get many thrills from the city’s lively nightlife scene.

If you’re planning a night tour, take a look at these excellent spots in and around the city:

Eddie’s Attic

515 North McDonough St, Decatur

Eddie’s Attic is a music lover’s dream come true. From country artists to southern rock bands, this is a great place to discover new music every night of the week.

It’s also one of those rare bars where world-famous acts like John Mayer play alongside up-and-coming local musicians. The atmosphere here is decidedly laid-back, so grab a beer, settle in, and enjoy the music.

MJQ Concourse

736 Ponce De Leon Ave NE, Atlanta

One of Atlanta’s longest-running clubs is also one of its best-kept secrets. Found entirely underground and with an unassuming entrance, you probably won’t think much of this place. But step inside and you’ll immediately see why the parties here are the stuff of legends.

This club hosts many of the area’s top DJs. With its constantly-changing themes, no night spent here is ever the same.

Laughing Skull Lounge

878 Peachtree St NE, Atlanta

This comedy bar may claim to be the world’s smallest stand-up venue, but the talent on show here is definitely oversized. It’s a mecca for the country’s best comedians, both national and local. It’s no wonder this 74-seater place sells out every night.

Laughing Skull Lounge is also adjacent to The Vortex, a famed burger joint, so you can head over there to grab some chow before the show starts.

The Havana Club

3112 Piedmont Rd NE, Atlanta

The Havana Club is your one-stop party destination. Boasting over 15,000 square feet of party space, it houses nine bars and three party rooms that play Top 40, EDM, and Latin tunes.

Its exclusive events and legendary DJs draw celebrities such as LeBron James and Lenny Kravitz. You may very well be rubbing elbows with stars here. If you want a more private party, there are also exclusive bungalows and cabanas in the area.

Staplehouse

541 Edgewood Ave SE, Atlanta

Bon Appetit declared this place as the best new restaurant in 2016. Staplehouse is so good and so popular that even celebrities have to book way in advance to get a seat.

Must-tries include their chicken liver tart, beef sausage, and potato bread. They also have great and quirky cocktails like Easy Peasy and Earth, Beets, and Fire.

Here in Atlanta, the biggest thrills start when the sun goes down. And with so many cool bars, dive clubs, speakeasies, and other food/music/drink venues to experience, your nights are sure to be exciting.
